Hector Elizondo is a Puerto Rican-American Emmy and Obie Award-winning actor who has appeared in over 80 films, as well as in numerous roles on television, in the theater and on radio. He is also a producer and director, and a singer and accomplished musician, performing on the conga, flute and guitar. Hector Elizondo's film career began with a small but significant role in "Pretty Woman" that brought him a Golden Globe nomination. His other movie successes include "The Princess Diaries" and "The Runaway Bride," but it is his TV role as the chief of surgery on the medical drama "Chicago Hope" for which he is best known.

Hector Elizondo is also actively involved in progressive politics and in a number of environmental and humanitarian causes. He is a strong supporter of Amnesty International, the Alzheimer Association, Pediatric AIDS and the Nature Conservancy. He was honored with the Diversity Award's prestigious "Integrity Award" for the quality of the roles he has chosen over his career.
